I am considering buying iMac G5 for personal home use. One of the things

holding me back is whether or not I could use MS Office including Visio 2003

in iMac G5.

I was informed by an Apple store Associate that there is a "virtual XP Pro"

operating system for iMac G5; it enables one to use MS Office and other

applications on G5 as on a PC. Would this permit using Visio 2003 on iMac

G5?

Thanks

    • I think the primary concern would be the performance of Visio on an emulated

system. Visio is fairly resource intensive - much more so than Word or

Excel. I'm not aware of other roadblocks.
